#FoodFriday
Today in my food Friday I am sharing one of my favourite dish “Maash Ki Daal”
It is the special Daal which is also considered one of the Dawat dishes in most Pakistani Households.
I used to be very scared to make it as
It should be cooked in a way that it should be softened but not mushy with a good texture like “khiley khiley” Biryani rice, but now I enjoy making and eating it.
Here is the Recipe
In one and a half cups of Maash ki dal add water, half Tbsp Garlic paste, Half Tbsp Ginger paste, Salt and Pepper to taste and a pinch of Tumeric.
Now cook till Daal gets softened but not fully cooked just like “one Kani” in rice, drain the excess water and now cover the pot and cook it on lowest heat just like putting rice on Dam.
When it’s ready dish out, garnish it with a lot of sliced ginger and give Tarka of your favourite things (I use onion, whole red peppers, Green chillies & pinch of Cumin)
Tadaaa Daal Maash is ready!
Give it a try and let me know how did you like it
