The Paratha Story

A couple of years back when I started working. I had classes on Saturday mornings. Our kids are Paratha lovers(the homemade ones), especially on weekends. When I was leaving for the first time on Saturday early morning I told Akmal just made them frozen parathas or they could have bread or cereal.

Around 11 am my phone had a message beep, when I opened it I saw a homemade paratha resembling some country map, it left me with a Wow feeling, I know he doesn’t hesitate to help around the home but for me Paratha is kind of a next-level task. I called him back to confirm who made this as Fatima was also trying her hands on Parathas those days. He said, “I wasn’t feeling good that if you are away kids couldn’t have Parathas so I tried it”.
And yes with time his parathas got so much improvement

I’ve many stories like this to share when he made me feel very different and that’s probably the reason l happily swallow all the sudden guests and huge dawats he throws on me, Follow his “bey khatar kood para aatish e namrood main ishq” kind of decisions he sometimes makes without asking and ignores his “bas 5 minute main aa Raha Hoon” kind of lies.

Nothing is perfect so are humans but Woman can work much more peacefully and walk shoulder to shoulder if she gets equal support from his man. Life is all about balance and sametime our kids learn a lot from the happenings around.

Thank you not only for the Parathas but all the respect, love and care.
Please Help me wish Happy Birthday to the man who is always behind the scenes of “Khayal by Saba”, who taught me the actual meaning of feminism, Taught me how to ride a bicycle and also how to drive (so I can bug him when he is driving ) and who is always there whenever we need him.
