I clicked on the search and saw a decent woman dancing like crazy. You can see that it’s not her thing because the discomfort was clear & Face expressions weren’t matching with the moves.
I opened my stories and a pretty face appeared but trying talking like someone else. It was looking too fake & I couldn’t watch it more so I exited.
A lady appeared on my Instagram feed, The write-up was awesome but the photo was not matching with the caption. She was trying to pose like a super glamourous model which she wasn’t.
All this made me think,
What is making us do this? What is pushing us to be fake?
Why are we trying to become someone else?
Why are we faking our talks? Why are we forcing ourselves to go beyond and do something opposite to our personalities?
Aren’t we love ourselves?
Is this wannabe thing just for seeking attention? Or some likes, more views or few more followers?
If yes then maybe you will achieve what you are targeting for but In the end, it will be exhausting and wouldn’t be pleasant for yourself. Accept it or not, all this phenomenon is effecting badly on our mental health.
On this #worldmentalhealthday2020, I want you to think about it. Whether you are an Influencer, Blogger, Writer, Content Creator or just a regular Social media user, Keep up your good work but Be original, Be Yourself cause there is no other “You” in this world and you are beautiful the way you are
