Leo Movie

It’s amazing how much children pick up from their surroundings, especially from their parents. They mirror our habits, attitudes, and the environment we create at home. This thought really came to mind when I recently watched the animated movie Leo with my kids during our Airbnb days. Although it’s a children’s movie, I think it’s just as much for parents and teachers.

The story revolves around two classroom pets, a lizard named Leo and a turtle. Leo, an aging and wise lizard, realizes that his time may be coming to an end. But instead of just fading away, he decides to share his life lessons with the children, taking on the role of a mentor and helping them navigate their everyday struggles.

Each child in the class is facing a different challenge, some struggle with confidence, others have trouble with friendships, and some act out just to get noticed. Leo, with his gentle and patient nature, teaches them that life’s challenges are normal and can be overcome with resilience and the right attitude. His wisdom feels so relevant, reminding us of how important it is to guide our children through their own journeys.

Raising children isn’t only about providing for them or keeping them safe. We also need to help them build emotional strength and prepare them for life’s ups and downs.

Overall, it was a great watch with lots of lessons. If you’ve already seen it, don’t forget to share your thoughts in the comments. 🙂
