Food Friday (2/12/21)

I ate “Mandi” for the first time on our Umrah trip, then the second time in Abu Dhabi. We became a fan of this Yemeni food but we’re unable to find it here in Canada. Making it at home didn’t work out well and then “Monasaba” restaurant opened in Mississauga and we instantly fell in love with it.
It’s exciting to collaborate with your favourite restaurant and review it when you are already their fan.
I got “Chicken Mandi” and “Beef Qolaba” with Nan and sauce. Chicken Mandi was as usual Juicy & Soft, served on the bed of aromatic rice and topped with freshly brown onion, roasted Almonds & Raisins.
“Beef Qolaba” is a yum beef mince cooked with spices, onions, green onions and tomatoes. Nan was freshly baked and their sauce always works as a taste enhancer.
Yemen was known as Arabia Felix means Happy land. This Happy land’s food place started at a small space and now happy to see how far they’ve come, they have one location in California USA & 2 here in Canada in Mississauga and Vaughan serving authentic & aromatic Tasty Yemeni food with beautiful ambiance reflecting Yemeni culture (check in my stories, too bad we can’t dine in the cause of Covid but take out is always open on both locations)
Give them a try!
Quantity, Quality & Maza 10/10
