This munchkin is so happy to get these cute books and his Amma is even happier because these are in Urdu.
Let me share with you an interesting story.
One of our friend’s kid who lives at the east end of the city went to his cousin’s place on the west side and there he met one of his uncle’s friend in Friday Prayer who surprisingly asked him ” Aray tum idher kesey?” and the kid replied while pointing towards his cousin “Is key baap key Sath Aaya Hoon” needless to say It left the Uncle speechless. Poor kid didn’t mean to be disrespectful but couldn’t able to distinguish between the right and wrong choice of Urdu words.
Sadly this is a common problem. Our kids are struggling to speak Urdu, maybe because they’re not able to read it on their own.
Those who are following me for a little while know how much I am in love with our beautiful language and I strongly believe that this treasure should be pass from one generation to other, It shouldn’t stop just because we are living in a different part of the world and this is the reason when I got to know about “Inglish For Kids” I felt super excited.
@inglishforkids rewrite the classic Urdu stories in Urdu, English & Roman Urdu script to help the kids to read on their own and feel the joy of Urdu. The illustration, colours and paper quality are making it more engaging.
They are also giving away two of their books(Yayy..),check on Instagram
