Today is International Men’s day and I wanted to appreciate the men in my life.
I spent most of my life surrounding by men. First MashaAllah with my four elder brothers, then my husband and sons.
I am grateful for all the support I got from my brothers. For all the pick and drops, shopping and leisure trips, For all the financial support towards my education, travelling and happy meals and for all the love, giggles & joy.
I am grateful to have a supportive husband in my life. Sometimes you have your man but you don’t have his back and sadly it feels like a burden or a continuous tension instead of having feel-good or Positive vibes at home.
I am grateful to have two little men at my home. While counting them as a blessing I feel a great responsibility to make them gentlemen for their future wives and family, And the Men who know the real meaning of respect and love so one day someone Could able to write the same lines for them.
I know many of you were thinking while I am mentioning all the men of my life, there is one important piece is missing from the picture i.e My Father, I lost my Abba when I was hardly two but I know I got him inside me in a form all the creativity, thinking, poetry, literature and music. He named me after a legendary writer Quratul ain Hyder and I can feel How he wanted me to be. I am grateful for the gift of writing which is a Heritage from both of my parents. I know he must be in a good place and we will be reunited one day.
And to all other Men!
If you want your Mom, Sister, Wife and Daughter shine bright, build their own sky, Feel strong and proud as a woman and create a happy and peaceful place you can call home, instead of taunting, criticizing the food and doing commentary on their skills. Get up, come forward, help them in home chores, discover their abilities, have their back and support. Empower them with Your love & you will be amazed to see the results.
